Lost in translation

 

So, what does “lost in translation” actually mean? It does not mean that you don’t understand a certain language. It means: When you try to translate a language, let’s say Spanish to another language, let’s say English. Because of the differences in grammar etc, the meaning of the sentences might be different from its original.
